The Cormezzano farm

The Cormezzano farm was born from the passion for nature of the Mori family, farmers for seven generations. It produces hand-made artisan cheeses, top quality dairy products, authentic meats and sausages made ‟ as good as those from times past”.
These typical products from the Lunigiana are still made with traditional processing procedures and for this reason they are also appreciated by nutrition experts in the sector, who have dedicated articles and television services to them, including one broadcast by the famous Rai Uno program Linea Verde.
Cattle breeding is made up of “closed cycle” Friesian cows. The calves born on the farm are raised naturally with the milk of their mothers and after about three years they become cows. The care with which the company grows and raises its animals is transmitted in the quality of the products- the cattle are fed with fresh and dry fodder, natural cereals and sugar beets without the use of estrogen and meat meal, in order to guarantee and preserve the taste and excellent quality of the products. Paralleling the cattle breeding, there is also a small closed-cycle pig breeding (born and raised on site) which uses whey and top quality cereals also from the farm, for its production of meats and sausages.
The fields are also cultivated with self-produced fertilizer from the same farm without the use of pesticides, herbicides or other chemicals.
Given the ever-increasing demand, the company has been able to diversify its production by offering 16 different types of hand-made artisan cheeses, from fresh to aged, from ricotta to stracchino- all excellent, tasty and savory.
Even the milk that is used for the production of artisan cheeses is exclusively from the Cormezzano breeding, not from other collection.
