Fonteviva

In 1973 EVAM SpA (the acronym in Italian for “Mineral Water Valorization Body”) was born with the intention of enhancing and marketing the mineral waters from the municipality of Massa.
The source of these waters covers a vast area, an uncontaminated territory of about 300 hectares by Monte Belvedere in the Apuan Alps.
The operational headquarters are in Canevara, at the foot of the Apuane di Massa, with the current water plant having been completed in 1980.
The extraction and bottling activity from the springs began in 1982 after the authorization of government ministers.

There are two prestigious brands that EVAM has on the market: Acqua Fonteviva and Acqua Amorosa. The first brand is tied to the territory where it is born and bottled, while the second brand is well suited for pediatric use and therefore partnered with the Humana company for distribution throughout Italy.
With its fixed residue of 49 mg / l, Fonteviva is classified as a minimally mineralized water.
This means that it is a very light, digestible water with a delicate flavor. Its sensory characteristics make it a water particularly suitable for the well-being of the whole organism.
It favors urinary output, the excretion of uric acid, the prevention of kidney stones, digestion and is also particularly suitable for diets low in sodium since its value is only 4.8 mg / l. The slightly acidic pH (value that indicates the acidity / basicity of a substance) of Fonteviva (6.9) is optimal for health.
In fact, many scientific studies believe it is healthier to consume pure water with a slightly acidic pH, as the slight acidity counteracts the oxidation process and therefore counteracts cellular aging. Since its establishment, EVAM has always had the objective in mind of enhancing the municipal waters by guaranteeing and maintaining a strong territorial identity and the benefits that this holds for the surrounding community.
It is with an awareness of how much one's actions are connected to this natural resource that EVAM adheres to some simple rules - respect of the environment, nature and the territory, to ensure safe and healthy water, to meet consumer expectations and protect customer health, and to ensure full traceability of the product and the raw materials.
